Searching For Walls

When I stand in the street and cast for faces with "presence," I also search for a suitable background to place the subject. Recently, while in Oaxaca, Mexico, I only had two days to shoot formal portraits. So, when I discovered this massive wall full of character close by the traditional Mexican square, (el zocalo), I simply set up shop and waited for just the right faces.
